Notre-Dame-d'Oé is a French municipality with 4125 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Tours and the Canton of Vouvray . The inhabitants are called Oésiens .

geography

Notre-Dame-d'Oé is about eight kilometers north-northeast of Tours . Notre-Dame-d'Oé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chanceaux-sur-Choisille in the north, Parçay-Meslay in the east, Tours in the south and Mettray in the west.

history

The area around what is now Notre-Dame-d'Oé is mentioned as early as the 9th century. Odacus , Odatus and Odoadus are the first traditional spelling of the 9th and 10th centuries. Celtic settlement remains from the La Tène period were also discovered during construction work in 2005.
