Cheillé is a French commune with 1,801 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Tours and the Canton of Chinon (until 2015: Canton Azay-le-Rideau ). The inhabitants are called Cheiblaisois .

geography

Cheillé is located about 25 kilometers southwest of Tours in the Touraine . Cheillé is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Azay-le-Rideau in the north, Saché in the east, Villaines-les-Rochers in the east and southeast, Avon-les-Roches and Panzoult in the south, Rivarennes in the west and Bréhémont in the north-west.
