Gogi Alauddin (born September 11, 1951 in Lahore ) is a former Pakistani squash player .

Career

Gogi Alauddin was particularly active as a squash player in the 1970s and reached third place in the world rankings in January 1975.

In 1973 and 1975 he was twice in the final of the British Open . He lost both finals in three sets: 1973 against Jonah Barrington , 1975 against Qamar Zaman . With the Pakistani national team he took in 1969 at the World Cup in part. From 1976 to 1984 he was eight times in the main field of the individual world championship. In 1976 and 1977 he achieved his best result when he reached the semi-finals. Both times he was defeated by Geoff Hunt in four sets.

He is the uncle of Sohail Qaiser , who was also active as a squash player and became world champion in 1985 .
