Civray-de-Touraine is a French commune with 1,840 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Loches and the canton of Bléré . The inhabitants are called Civraisiens .

geography

Civray-de-Touraine is located in the historic province of Touraine (also called Jardin de la France ) on the Cher River , about 26 kilometers east-southeast of Tours . Civray-de-Touraine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Amboise in the north, Souvigny-de-Touraine in the northeast, Chenonceaux in the east, Francueil in the southeast, Luzillé in the south, Bléré in the southwest and La Croix-en-Touraine in the west.
