Tauxigny-Saint-Bauld is a French commune with 1,691 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; Tauxigny belongs to the Arrondissement of Loches and the Canton of Loches .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2018 through the merger of the two municipalities of Tauxigny and Saint-Bauld , of which only Saint-Bauld has received the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality .

Tauxigny-Saint-Bauld is located about 31 kilometers southeast of Tours on the Échandon . Tauxigny-Saint-Bauld is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Branchs in the north and west, Cormery in the north, Courçay in the northeast, Reignac-sur-Indre in the east, Dolus-le-Sec in the southeast, Manthelan in the south, Le Louroux in the south and southwest as well as Louans to the west and southwest.
