La Croix-en-Touraine is a French commune with 2,294 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Loches and the canton of Bléré . The inhabitants are called Crucifixiens .
geography
La Croix-en-Touraine is located in the historic province of Touraine (also called Jardin de la France ) near the Cher River , which borders the municipality in the south, about 25 kilometers east of Tours . La Croix-en-Touraine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Amboise in the north, Civray-de-Touraine in the east, Bléré in the south and Dierre in the west.
