Le Grand-Pressigny is a French municipality with 916 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire (historical region: Touraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Loches and the Canton of Descartes and is located on the banks of the Claise River at the confluence of the Aigronne . The quarrying site of Le Grand-Pressigny is near the site .

Attractions

  • Le Grand-Pressigny castle ; Partial ruin of a castle, the roots of which go back to the 12th century. The buildings that have been preserved today house the Musée departemental de Préhistoire, founded in 1910, with the Coeur de Birette, a polissoir in the gardens.
