The Graswiesenbach rises in the Vogelsberg at an altitude of about 713  m above sea level. NHN north of the Rudingshainer Flösser .

It flows in a west-southwest direction, first through forest and then through grassland and finally flows into the Schotten district of Rudingshain at an altitude of about 423  m above sea level. NHN from the right into the Nidda .
