Bléré is a French municipality with 5272 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Loches and is the capital of the canton of Bléré .

geography

The small town is located in the historic province of Touraine (also called Jardin de la France ) in the Cher Valley, 27 kilometers east of Tours . Previously forested, the region is now an agricultural and wine-growing zone.
