Noizay is a French commune with 1,139 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Loches and the canton of Amboise (until 2015: canton of Vouvray ). The inhabitants are called Noizéens .

geography

Noizay is about ten kilometers east of Tours in the Touraine countryside on the Cisse River . The Loire limits the municipality to the south. Noizay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chançay in the north, Nazelles-Négron in the east, Lussault-sur-Loire in the south, Montlouis-sur-Loire in the southwest and Vernou-sur-Brenne in the west.

The Paris – Bordeaux railway runs through the municipality .
