geography

Saint-Jean-Saint-Germain is located about 40 kilometers south-southeast of Tours on the Indre . Saint-Jean-Saint-Germain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Perrusson in the north and west, Sennevières in the east and northeast, Saint-Hippolyte in the southeast and Verneuil-sur-Indre in the south.

The former Route nationale 143 (today's D943) runs through the municipality.
