Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Loches included the 18 municipalities of Azay-sur-Indre , Beaulieu-lès-Loches , Bridoré , Chambourg-sur-Indre , Chanceaux-près-Loches , Chédigny , and Dolus-le-Sec , Ferrière-sur-Beaulieu , Loches , Perrusson , Reignac-sur-Indre , Saint-Hippolyte , Saint-Jean-Saint-Germain , Saint-Quentin-sur-Indrois , Sennevières , Tauxigny-Saint-Bauld and Verneuil-sur-Indre . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​409 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 3713.
