Francueil is a French commune with 1,377 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Loches and the canton of Bléré . The inhabitants are called Francueillois .
geography
Francueil is located in the historic province of Touraine (also called Jardin de la France ) on the Cher River , which borders the municipality in the north, about 30 kilometers east-southeast of Tours . Francueil is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chenonceaux in the north, Chisseux in the north and north-east, Saint-Georges-sur-Cher in the east, Épeigné-les-Bois in the south-east, Luzillé in the south and south-west and Civray-de-Touraine in the west and north-west.
