Thomas Fuhrmann (politician)

Thomas Fuhrmann (* 19th May 1971 ) is a German lawyer , local politicians of CDU and Stuttgart Mayor for Economy, Finance and Investments.

Live and act

From 1991 to 1993, Fuhrmann completed an apprenticeship in high-level administration in Kornwestheim and Ludwigsburg , which he completed in 1995 at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration with a degree in administration . From 1996 to 2000 he studied law at the University of Tübingen , which he completed with the first and second state examinations. Since 2003 he has worked as a lawyer.

From 1999 to 2019 he was a member of the district advisory board in Stuttgart-Mühlhausen and from 2004 to 2009 a member of the regional assembly of the Stuttgart Region Association .

Since 2014 he has been active in the Stuttgart City Council as spokesman for the International Committee for Environment and Technology and in the Social Committee. Since March 15, 2019, he has been Stuttgart's mayor for economics, finance and investments. He is there u. a. responsible for the city ​​treasury , the property office , the Stuttgart city clinic and other municipal operations.

Fuhrmann is married and has one daughter.
