Thomas Hobi (born June 20, 1993 in Balzers ) is a Liechtenstein football goalkeeper .

Career

society

Hobi began his career at FC Balzers . In August 2013 he was in the first team's squad for the first time against FC Zug 94 . In May 2014 he made his debut for this in the first division when he was in the starting line-up against SV Höngg on the 22nd matchday of the 2013/14 season . In the following season he was the goalkeeper of Balzers and was used in 25 league games. In the 2015/16 season he played 16 of the 26 season games in the fourth-highest Swiss division. In the 2016/17 season he made 20 appearances. Before the 2017/18 season he lost his regular place to Oliver Klaus , and he was often not even in the squad.

Hobi then moved to the Austrian regional league team VfB Hohenems for the 2018/19 season . In August 2018, he made his debut in the Regionalliga when he played against SV Wörgl from the start on the third matchday of that season . By the end of the season he made 22 appearances for Hohenems in the third highest Austrian division. He is leaving the club after the 2018/19 season.

National team

Hobi came in September 2014 against Belarus for his only appearance for the Liechtenstein U-21 team . In June 2016 he was in the senior national team for the first time against Iceland . He made his debut for this in June 2019 in the European Championship qualification against Armenia .
