Career

Klaus went through his youth career at FC Gelterkinden and later at FC Basel . For the 2009/10 season he was accepted as the third goalkeeper in the first team of FC Basel and moved up as the second goalkeeper after the injury of the regular goalkeeper Franco Costanzo . However, he was not used during this time.

In the summer of 2010 he moved to Yverdon-Sport FC and made his debut there on the 1st match day on July 23, 2010, in the away defeat against SC Kriens . He played, with the exception of one game, the entire first half of the Challenge League , but was replaced by Anthony Basso due to a coach change in the second half . After only one season, he finally moved to FC Vaduz , where he was used regularly from the second season, but later became the second goalkeeper behind Peter Jehle . In May 2016, the club announced that Klaus would not renew his contract and that he would leave the club. In August 2016 he signed a one-year contract with BSC Old Boys Basel .
