Thomas Jäger (racing driver, 1994)
Thomas Jäger (born August 16, 1994 in Vienna ) is an Austrian racing car driver .
Career
Jäger began his motorsport career in karting in 2008 , in which he remained active until 2010. In 2011 he switched to formula racing . Initially he was given a cockpit at Interwetten Racing in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and the Alpine Formula Renault . In both series, he moved to EPIC Racing after two or three events , for which he took part in two racing weekends in both championships. In the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup, Jäger was 34th in the drivers' standings. In the Alpine Formula Renault he achieved seventh place overall with third place as the best result. He also competed for Neuhauser Racing at an ADAC Formula Masters race weekend . He was on the podium once with a third place. At the end of the year he took part in the winter series of the British Formula Renault for Fortec Competition . He finished this championship with a third place as the best result in sixth place. In 2012 , Jäger competed for Neuhauser Racing for the entire ADAC Formula Masters season. Jäger won a race and finished the season with a total of five podium finishes in fifth place overall. Within the team he was defeated by Gustav Malja with 165 to 307 points. Jäger also competed for One Racing at two Alpine Formula Renault events.
In 2013 Jäger switched to Performance Racing in the German Formula 3 Cup . On the first race weekend he already achieved a podium finish with a third place. During the season he won a race at the Nürburgring . It was not used in the last three events. Jäger regularly drove into the top 6. At the end of the season he was in sixth place in the drivers' standings.
