Thomas Krause (medical doctor)

Thomas Krause (* 1953 in Gengenbach ) is a nuclear medicine specialist and professor of nuclear medicine at Inselspital , University of Bern. He is chief physician and director of the University Clinic for Nuclear Medicine at Inselspital Bern. He is also President of the Swiss Society for Nuclear Medicine .

Life

Krause passed the Abitur at the Schiller-Gymnasium Offenburg in 1972 . From 1973 to 1979 he studied human medicine in Freiburg i. After completing his studies, he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. Krause then worked as a research assistant in neuropathology at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg , as well as in cardiology , radiology and nuclear medicine at the Freiburg University Clinic. He was recognized as a doctor for nuclear medicine in 1992. In the same year he became senior physician . In 1993, Krause completed his habilitation and in 1993 became senior physician at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Nuclear Medicine. In 2000 he was appointed adjunct professor . In the same year he moved to Bonn in the same position. Krause has been head of the University Clinic for Nuclear Medicine at Inselspital Bern since 2001.

Act

Krause is a member of many scientific committees and societies. He is co-editor of the German-language standard textbook on nuclear medicine. He has received several awards for his scientific work focusing on nuclear medicine procedures for tumor diseases as well as for coronary heart disease, computer-aided diagnosis of tumor diseases.
