Thomas Krohne

Thomas Krohne (born May 17, 1962 in Bremen ) is a member of the supervisory board of SV Werder Bremen and was president of the German Volleyball Association .

The sports economist Thomas Krohne worked as a full-time employee for the marketing of the German Golf Association . He was also a long eight years Director Television at the sports rights agency ISPR for the marketing of the media rights to the Bundesliga responsible. Later he became managing partner of the media company the sportsman media holding GmbH , whose subsidiaries are active in sports rights marketing and video production. On August 25, 2012, Thomas Krohne was elected DVV President as successor to Werner von Moltke at the Association Day of the German Volleyball Association in Timmendorfer Strand . On November 21, 2016, he was elected to the supervisory board of the Bundesliga soccer club by the general meeting of SV Werder Bremen. Due to disagreements about the future direction of the DVV, Krohne resigned from his office on June 17, 2018 together with five other board members. René Hecht was appointed his successor on the same day .

Thomas Krohne lives in Munich . He is married and has four kids.
