Thomas Ried

Thomas Ried (born November 15, 1773 in Hohenburg , Upper Palatinate ; † January 14, 1827 in Regensburg ) was a Roman Catholic theologian, historian and cathedral capitular .

biography

Ried studied in Regensburg and was ordained a Catholic priest in 1798 . In 1799 he became an assistant priest in Sallach, today a district of Geiselhöring . Subsequently, in 1801 he became a chancellor at the episcopal consistory in Regensburg. In 1823 he was a chancellery inspector for a short time and at the same time secretary of the consistory. At the same time he obtained a vicariate in the rebuilt Regensburg cathedral chapter in 1822 , which was followed by the canonical in 1826 . On January 14, 1827, a stroke ended his life in Regensburg.
