Thomas Schoeps

Thomas Joachim Schoeps (born January 11,  1989 in Berlin ) is a German basketball player . The 1.88-meter point guard denied a game in the basketball league for Alba Berlin .

career

Schoeps came to TuS Lichterfelde via TuS Neukölln and SSC Südwest Berlin , for which he made his debut in the 2nd basketball league in the 2006/07 season  . At that time, “TuSLi” was a cooperation partner of Bundesliga club Alba Berlin , and Schoeps made his first and only brief appearance in the Bundesliga in March 2007 in the game against Gießen.

In 2008/09 he played for Alba's second men's team and the U19 team of the Bundesliga club. Schoeps spent the 2009/10 game year in the United States and combined competitive sports and studies at Odessa College in the state of Texas .

After a year in the USA, he returned to his home country and played for ETB Essen in the 2. Bundesliga ProA . In that 2010/11 season he also had the right to play with Bundesliga club Phoenix Hagen , but was not used in the first division.

For the 2011/12 round of play, the development player moved to the Brandenburg club RSV Eintracht in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . After a year with RSV, he joined the regional league team DBV Charlottenburg  before returning to RSV Eintracht in 2013, for which he was on the field until 2016.

From February 2017 he joined the WSG 1981 Königs Wusterhausen team in the regional league.

National team

Schoeps wore the German national jersey in the U16, U18 and U20 age groups. In 2005 he played the B European Championship in Bulgaria with Germany's U16 national team . In summer 2009 he took part in the European Championship in Greece with the German U20  team.
