Thomas Sonntag (born April 30, 1996 ) is a German soccer player . The striker is under contract with VfV 06 Hildesheim .

Career

Sonntag began his career at Lugauer SC and then played at FSV Hohndorf before moving to the youth department of FC Erzgebirge Aue in 2007 . On March 15, 2015, he made his debut for the first team in the 3-0 defeat at VfR Aalen in the 2nd Bundesliga , after being substituted on for Selçuk Alibaz in the second half .

For the 2015/16 season , Sonntag moved to the second team of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , which plays in the Oberliga Nordost . On October 4, 2015, he scored his first goal in a 3-1 home defeat against Energie Cottbus II with the goal to make it 1-1 in the 74th minute.

After his contract in Erfurt had not been extended, he joined the regional league team VfV 06 Hildesheim on Sunday for the 2016/17 season . In the 2018/19 season he played at Bischofswerdaer FV 08 in the Regionalliga Nordost . Then he returned to VfV 06 Hildesheim.
