Thomas Stickroth
Thomas Stickroth (nicknamed Sticki, Stickinho ; born April 13, 1965 in Stuttgart ) is a former German soccer player and today's soccer coach .
Career
Thomas Stickroth played 169 first division and 222 second division games with 14 and 30 goals respectively in his career. Stickroth played in midfield as well as in defense. His greatest success was the UEFA Cup qualification with VfL Bochum in the 1996/1997 season under coach Klaus Toppmöller . His trademarks were his long, dark hair and the "Brazilian" style of play, which is why he was nicknamed "Stickinho" or "White Brazilian". In the summer of 2002 he ended his professional career at VfL Bochum, which began in 1983 with the then second division club SC Freiburg . Intermediate stops were FC 08 Homburg , Bayer 05 Uerdingen , FC St. Mirren from Scotland , and 1. FC Saarbrücken before Stickroth moved to the Ruhr area in 1995. After his professional career, he played friendship and benefit games for the traditional team of VfL Bochum.
Today Thomas Stickroth works as a coach and mental trainer, from 2014 to 2015 for the Hamburg second division club FC St. Pauli . He was employed as an assistant coach in the 2016/17 season at the then third division club FSV Frankfurt . Since the 2017/18 season he has been an assistant coach at the Liechtenstein club FC Vaduz , which plays in the Challenge League , the 2nd league in Switzerland.
Since December 2018, Stickroth has been assistant coach under Jens Keller at the second division club FC Ingolstadt 04 . On April 2, 2019, both were released from the association.
In mid-November 2019, Keller and Stickroth took over the second division club 1. FC Nürnberg . After the FCN had finished the regular season in 16th place, Keller and Stickroth were released before relegation.

Thomas Stickroth's father Bruno Stickroth (1937–2017) was a model, hairdresser, actor and known in Stuttgart as the beautiful Bruno . His wife Andrea, b. Vogels was once a well-known UK model, television presenter and actress. His sister Daniela has made a name for herself in the electro scene as a successful producer.
