Thomas Egon Sunesson (born January 12, 1959 in Mönsterås ; died October 25, 2015 in Malmö ) was a Swedish football player .

Life

Thomas Sunesson's professional career as a striker began in 1978 with Kalmar FF . With Kalmar he won the cup in 1981 . In 1982 he moved to Malmö FF . He then moved to Lausanne abroad . In 1986 he returned to Sweden and played for Djurgårdens IF . Due to a complicated cruciate ligament tear, he had to undergo several operations. He later played for IF Brommapojkarna and Hammarby IF . For a short time he played in Portugal from 1989 to 1991 with SC Beira-Mar and Seixal FC and then ended his sports career.

For the Swedish national football team , he ran twelve times.

Thomas Sunesson died on October 25, 2015 at the age of 56 in Malmö.
