Thomas Willi

Thomas Willi (born July 27, 1942 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss Protestant theologian.

Life

Willi studied Protestant theology and ancient oriental languages ​​in Basel , Paris and Göttingen . After receiving his doctorate on February 13, 1970 as Dr. theol. At the University of Tübingen he was pastor in the Eichberg SG community and head of the Foundation for Church and Judaism in Basel . After his habilitation in 1991 in Bern , he taught from 1994 until his retirement in 2007 as a professor for the Old Testament at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University of Greifswald .
