Thomas Zach
Thomas Zach (born December 4, 1922 in Muttischen ( Mutišov in the Czech Republic); † March 23, 2016 Frankfurt am Main ) was a German painter, sculptor and graphic artist. He painted consistently and consciously in front of nature. Landscapes and still lifes are his main subjects, influenced by impressionism and expressionism. The area around Frankfurt his inexhaustible source of inspiration. Concrete and bronze his preferred materials as sculptors.
Life
Elementary school in Sitzgras, community school in Zlabings, conscription to the military, English captivity. After being wounded, he was released as a harvest helper in the Westerwald. Married in the Westerwald and studied in Frankfurt. Two children. Five grandchildren. Frankfurt / M becomes the center of his life.
