Thomas Zhao Fengwu
Thomas Zhao Fengwu (born June 14, 1920 in Jining , Shandong, † August 15, 2005 in Tengzhou ), Chinese 趙鳳梧 , was a Chinese Catholic clergyman and officially unrecognized bishop of the diocese of Yanzhou in eastern China.
Life
Thomas Zhao Fengwu studied from 1931 to 1939 in Yangzhou and from 1939 to 1945 in the Sacred Heart Seminary of the German Catholic Order SVD . He received on 20 April 1945, the sacrament of Holy Orders . On May 18, 1993, Joseph Zhong Huai-de secretly ordained him bishop .
Bishop Zhao was found seriously ill on the night of August 15, 2005 and died that same day.
