Thommerberg is part of the municipality of Thomm in the district of Trier-Saarburg in Rhineland-Palatinate .

It is located northwest of Thomm in the Nossernbachtal , on the county road 82 in the direction of Fell (Mosel) and belongs to the FFH area Fellerbachtal in Saar-Ruwer-Hunsrück . The height above sea level is about 300 meters. The area is located on the Schiefer-Wackenweg .

The former Thommerberg quarry is in the immediate vicinity. The Fell visitor mine is within sight of the Feller district .

The slate crushers from the surrounding slate pits once settled in Thommerberg . In Thomm's local family book , especially in the 18th century, there are numerous entries with the place of residence Fodina tegularia , this is the area around the slate pits .

In a broader sense, the Thommerberg also describes the ascent of the county road 82 from the Nossernbachtal to approx. 200 meters above sea level to the hill in front of Thomm at approx. 450 meters above sea level. The Trier hill climb and the Rally Germany (also as a run to the rally world championship ) as well as other sporting events have already been held there.
