The Thommerbach is a body of water III. Order in the district of Trier-Saarburg in Rhineland-Palatinate . It has a length of 7.8 km and a catchment area of 11.4 km². It rises in the district of Osburg , flows past the Kahlborn , crosses under the state road 149 and in the Klausbachtal forms the boundary between Thomm and Herl .
Southeast of Thomm springs of Boorbach , of about 350 meters from the left in the Thommerbach opens . There is a pumping station at Boorbach .
The Schiefer-Wackenweg leads over a small bridge , after which a ditch (GKZ 26728114) joins the stream from the right. Immediately behind it is the site of the former Thommer Mühle .
Coming from the Kirchhuf , a body of water about 250 meters long flows into the Thommerbach from the left in the In der Fischerei district .
The districts of Fell, Herl and Thomm meet at another bridge . Then the Thommerbach in the Nossernbachtal forms the border between Thomm and Fell .
The Kongeltbach (GKZ 26728116) flows in from the left ; it rises in the In Kongelt district and flows into the Unterm Brasilienberg district . There is an old water bunker in the headwaters of the Kongeltbach.
The Thommerbach flows past the former Fell concrete stone works and the Fell visitor mine, incorporates the Dewaldsborn (GKZ 2672812) from the right and the Kasoelbach from the left immediately after crossing under Kreisstraße 82 .
In the municipality of Fell, the brook is called the Spitzer Bach . The Schraubelsbach (GKZ 2672892) flows from the left, and below the Feller Maximiner Burg it flows into the Feller Bach , a right tributary of the Moselle .
The districts of Noßertal (Fell) and Thommerberg (Thomm) are located near the former concrete block factory . In 2011, an approximately 300 meter long piece of the stream in the area of the former concrete block factory was renatured as part of the Blue Campaign. Then a camper parking lot was created there .
There are a large number of former slate pits in the Nosserbachtal . The Vogelsberg and Thommerberg pits were large open-cast mines .
