Thorsten Lahm (born November 11, 1969 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Lahm made the jump from the youth division of FC Homburg to the amateur division into the professional team. In the 1987/88 season he played two games in the Bundesliga . Homburg was already in 17th place in the table when Lahm was brought to his debut by coach Slobodan Čendić . On the 33rd matchday, Lahm came on as a substitute in the game against VfL Bochum . On matchday 34 there was another brief appearance in the 1: 5 defeat against Bayer 05 Uerdingen . Homburg was relegated, Lahm stayed in Homburg and played exclusively for the amateur team the following year. Homburg made it back to the Bundesliga during the season. Lahm stayed with the amateurs, but in the following Bundesliga season he made another short appearance with the professionals on the last day of the season in a 2-2 draw against VfB Stuttgart . Homburg descended again. Lahm later played 19 games in the 2nd Bundesliga for the Saarlanders, then went to SV Edenkoben for one season . With Edenkoben he played in the 1993/94 season in the league. Behind Eintracht Trier , second place was taken in the final table, so Edenkoben made the leap into the newly created regional league. Lahm moved to Borussia Neunkirchen and played until there for relegation in the 1995/96 season . He moved to 1. SC Norderstedt for two years , then returned to Borussia and let his career end with his former employer Homburg.

After his playing career, he moved to the sidelines, but remained active as an amateur player. Among other things, he became a coach at FSV Jägersburg , whose first and second team he coached.
