Thorsten Larbig

Thorsten Larbig (* 1964 in Fulda ) is a German pianist and painter.

He had been taking piano lessons since he was eight and was a winner of the 1982 youth music competition . After studying school music at the Musikhochschule in Heidelberg-Mannheim , he was trained as a concert pianist at the Frankfurt Musikhochschule with Ute Starke and Irina Lein-Edelstein (chamber music and song studies with Charles Spencer and Rainer Hoffmann) and completed his studies in 1995 the concert exam. Since then he has accompanied singers such as Scot Weir , Ruth Ziesak , Karl Markus and Margarete Joswig . Thorsten Larbig has been intensively involved for years as an accompanist, arranger and composer in the chanson and cabaret area . He has been the stage partner of Jo van Nelsen , Alix Dudel and Sabine Fischmann for many years .
