Thorsten Radensleben (* 1962 in Berlin ) is a German business economist and former basketball player .

Life

Radensleben studied business administration and played in the basketball league at DTV Charlottenburg . He was part of the team in the first Bundesliga game year 1981/82. With Charlottenburg he also entered the European club competition Korać Cup in the late 1980s . From 1984 to 1986 he played for Steiner Bayreuth . In the 1984/85 season he rose to the Bundesliga with Upper Franconia, and in 1986 he returned to Berlin. In 1989 he was one of the founding members of the BG Charlottenburg, the predecessor of Alba Berlin .

After completing his studies, Radensleben worked as a research assistant at the Technical University of Berlin . In 1994 his doctoral thesis on the subject of “Conceptual Basics of Controlling-Appropriate Cost Accounting” was accepted. Radensleben worked subsequently in the Stadtwerke Hannover as assistant to the chairman and moved from there to Munich for Thüga Aktiengesellschaft . He then became managing director of the Augsburg company Erdgas Schwaben . In October 2002 he became a board member of Badenova and in 2005 he took up the post of CEO. In 2010 he was awarded the “Energy Manager of the Year” prize, launched by the “ Energie & Management ” newspaper .
