Throat: A Cautionary Tale is an American porn feature film directed by Paul Thomas from 2009, which was originally designed as a remake of the film Deep Throat . The film was released on March 14, 2009 and won several awards at the 2010 AVN Awards . The main role is played by Sasha Gray .

The story begins when a dead girl is found in a backyard with a smashed bottle in her mouth. The subsequent investigation leads to the beginning of the story and the beginning of the girl's career.
background
Steven Hirsch, owner of Vivid Entertainment , told reporters from XFANS at the FAME Awards in June 2008 that his company was producing a remake of the film Deep Throat . Vivid was already planning to release the film, but copyright holder Arrow Productions disliked the deviations from the original storyline and the manner in which the film was directed and cast. As a result, they withdrew Hirsch's permission to make the remake, so the film was cut at Vivid Entertainment for copyright reasons and renamed Throat: A Cautionary Tale .
