Thunderbolt ( Chinese 霹靂 火 , Pinyin pīlì huǒ , alternatively: Dead Heat , for other titles see below) is an action and martial arts film with Jackie Chan filmed in Hong Kong in 1995 .

Jackie (in the original: Chan Foh To) is an excellent Chinese auto mechanic and racing driver. In the search for Cougar, who ran over a policeman in an illegal car race, Jackie and Cougar race, which Jackie wins. After escaping from prison, Cougar kidnaps the Chinese man's two sisters, forcing him to come to Japan and compete in an official race against him. Jackie works with the employees of his workshop supported by reporter Amy Ip on a racing car with which he wants to take part in the race. However, the car was destroyed in an accident during the qualifying race. With the support of Mitsubishi , whose boss had Jackie's hand jammed in a car door at the beginning of the film, he can still take part in the race and win.

“A material battle, perfectly staged in the action scenes, about Jackie Chan as the human focus, which is deadly serious and lacks the charm of comparable Chan films.
