thurgorienta
The thurgorienta is a Swiss orienteering club based in Weinfelden ( Thurgau ).
The thurgorienta was founded in 1970 and has around 170 members. The catchment area includes the Thur Valley , the Frauenfeld and Weinfelden regions , the Seerücken to the Untersee .
The association organizes orienteering courses, indoor and map training and competitions.
Members of the orienteering club regularly take part in national and international competitions. Taking up and updating orienteering maps is also one of the tasks of thurgorienta.
successes
In 1978 and 1982 thurgorienta won the Swiss orienteering five-man relay , the most important club competition in Switzerland .
