The Thurston Glacier is a 15 miles long glacier on Siple Island off the coast of West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . Its area of origin are the slopes of Mount Siple . From there it flows eastwards, then northeast to the north coast of the island.
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Thomas R. Thurston, meteorologist for the United States Antarctic Research Program on the Byrd- Station in 1965.
