Uwe Brückner (born September 14, 1960 in Bad Rodach ) is a German television journalist , filmmaker and media scientist.

Life

Brückner received his university entrance qualification in 1980 at the Musisches Gymnasium Albertinum in Coburg . After military service he completed a study of television journalism and documentary film at the University of Television and Film Munich . He was the program manager of the RTL regional window TV BAYERN live and is the founder and project manager of the division provider plenum.tv and head of the service & production department at the metropolitan area broadcaster München TV . Between 2013 and 2018 he played the political talk format Bayern im Blick with guests from politics and culture .

As editor of the Telezeitung München , Brückner was involved in the first German private television project (started on April 1, 1984). Between 1986 and 1993 he worked as a reporter and deputy head of the RTL plus regional office in the south and as an author of various German RTL TV magazines. In 1993 he founded the RTL regional window RTL MÜNCHEN live , which he headed for 13 years as program manager and operations manager . As a founding partner and chairman of the program advisory board , Brückner participated in the development of the regional broadcaster Oberfranken.TV in 1996 .

Since 2018 he has been the section spokesperson for television journalism at the German Academy for Television , a founding member of the Bavarian Academy for Television (BAF) in Munich and, since 2016, deputy chairman of the International Press Club Munich . Brückner had lectureships at academies, technical colleges and universities, u. a. the LMU Munich , the University of Augsburg , the FH macromedia Campus Munich , the Bayr. Academy for Marketing and Advertising Munich, the BAF and at the University of Television and Film in Munich. He was a student of the concert pianist Hans-Dieter Bauer .

Brückner received his doctorate in 2018 from the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf in the field of media studies to become Dr. phil. with a work on the credibility of business TV shows.
