The Tibhar Tibor Harangozo GmbH , based in Saarbrücken is a German sports goods manufacturer in the field of table tennis .

The company's product lines include table tennis rubbers, woods , bats , table tennis tables, textiles and various accessories .

Tibhar is the market leader for table tennis in France and one of the leading brands in other European countries and worldwide. The products are produced in the EU , Asia and Egypt .

The company equips u. a. Top players such as Wladimir Samsonow (Belarus), Patrick Chila (France), Tiago Apolónia (Portugal), Park Mi-young (South Korea) and Kristin Silbereisen (Germany). Contract teams are national teams from France , Holland , Belgium , Serbia , Romania , Portugal , Slovenia and Brazil .

history

The company's founder , Tibor Harangozo , a Yugoslav table tennis player and trainer who gave the company its name, began organizing international table tennis courses at the Saarbrücken sports school under the name Tibhar in 1959 .

This commitment, also as coach of the table tennis team of 1. FC Saarbrücken , which he brought to Bundesliga successes in the sixties, led to the founding of Tibhar in 1969.

After Harangozo's death in 1978, Erwin Berg, a former Bundesliga player and trainer of the international Tibhar table tennis school, took over the management of the company. Since 1995 his son Roland Berg, also a former Bundesliga player, has been in charge of the company's fortunes.
