The animal drinking fountain is a listed ( list entry ) fountain in Gumpendorfer Straße near the Rahlstiege with the goose girl fountain in the 6th district of Mariahilf in Vienna .

The animal drinking fountain created by Adolf Stöckl together with the sculptor Josef Thorak was donated by the opera singer Hedwig Francillo-Kauffmann together with other animal lovers and unveiled on July 22, 1916. It shows the singer leaning against a horse's head. The original installation site was at the Vienna Secession . In 1968 it was relocated to its current location on the so-called Papiermacherplatzl .
