Tiffany Limos (born January 31, 1980 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American actress and model .
life and career
Limo's parents had immigrated to the United States from the Philippines before she was born . According to her own information, she also has ancestors from Hawaii , Africa , the People's Republic of China , French Polynesia , from an Indian tribe and from Spain . She spent her childhood in Mesquite , then her parents moved to San Francisco with her and her younger sister . At the age of 15, she went to New York City , where she was hired as a model by a modeling agency.
In 2002 Limos was hired by director Larry Clark for a lead role in his sensational and controversial film Ken Park . Here she can also be seen in very explicit sex scenes. She became internationally known with her very first appearance as a film actress. In the same year she also starred in the television film Teenage Caveman , also directed by Clark , a remake of the 1958 science fiction strip of the same name by Roger Corman . In contrast to Corman 1958, Clark 2002 includes sexual scenes (at soft sex level ) in the film in which she is also involved.
To train for further film roles, Limos attended seminars at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting in New York City.
In 2003 Limos appeared in the documentary by French director Eric Dahan about Larry Clark and his work, Larry Clark, Great American Rebel . This was followed in 2005 by a role in the comedy film Sueño , which is about Mexican immigrants in the USA. Also in 2005 she starred in Dave Chappelle's Block Party , a semi-documentary film about a stage show initiated by comedian Dave Chappelle .
Limos, who plays the flute , harp and piano , also performed as a musician ; so in 2003 with The Roots and Mos Def . Together with other artists, she got involved in charity events for the Beastie Boys , the proceeds of which went to charitable projects in the Philippines , Sri Lanka and Senegal .
Limos is primarily based in New York City.
