Tigist Ketema (born September 15, 1998 ) is an Ethiopian middle-distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter run .

Athletic career

Tigist Ketema gained her first international experience at the 2016 African Championships in Durban , where she was eliminated in the first round with 2: 04.61 minutes. Then she won the bronze medal at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz in 2: 05.13 minutes. The following year she won the Junior African Championships in Tlemcen in 2: 05.85 min.

In 2016, Ketema became the Ethiopian champion in the 800-meter run.
