Tillmann Loch (born February 22, 1960 in Tübingen ) is a German urologist and former handball player .

Life

Tillmann Loch was a student at the Hans-Geiger-Gymnasium in Kiel, where Gerd Welz , the then coach of the handball Bundesliga team THW Kiel , became aware of him and brought him to the THW. He played 145 games for the Zebras , in which he scored 66 goals. With the Kielers he was runner- up in 1983 and 1985 . 1987 changed circular runners to second division SG Weiche-Handewitt with which he advanced a year later to the first division. From 1989 he played for VfL Bad Schwartau .

Loch studied medicine from 1982 to 1987 and was licensed in 1988 . In 1993 he received his doctorate with the dissertation “The clinical significance of rectal palpation findings and prostate-specific antigen for the detection of prostate cancer. A prospective study ”at the Urology Clinic of Kiel Christian Albrechts University (CAU) . In 2000, Loch became a private lecturer in the field of urology at the Medical Faculty of the CAU. Since July 2004 he has been the chief physician of the urological clinic at the Diakonissenkrankenhaus Flensburg . In October 2008 he was awarded the title of Associate Professor .

He is head of the urology section of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine .
