Tim Butcher

Tim Butcher (born November 15, 1967 in Rugby ) is an English journalist and author. He works as a war reporter for The Daily Telegraph and is currently a correspondent from the Middle East .

Butcher became internationally known as the author of the book Blood River from 2007. In it he describes his journey along the Congo River , which he undertook in the footsteps of the American explorer (and also a journalist for the Daily Telegraph ) Henry Morton Stanley . In 2014 he published a study on Gavrilo Princip .

Butcher has two children.
