Tim Cornelisse (born April 3, 1978 in Alkmaar ) is a former Dutch football player and today's coach .
Career
Cornelisse played in the youth department of his home club AZ Alkmaar until 1997 , before moving to the professional squad of the then Eerste Divisie representative TOP Oss in the summer . Right away he made it to the top performer and thus attracted attention. After only one year, the Belgian top club RSC Anderlecht secured the services of the defender and lured him, as well as his older brother Yuri , into the first division . In order to be able to give him match practice, the RSC officials immediately loaned Cornelisse. At RKC Waalwijk , the full-back found a new employer in the Eredivisie . After one season, both teams came together and Waalwijk signed the then young player for good. But Cornelisse only lasted a year at RKC . Finally, Vitesse Arnhem signed him in the summer of 2000 . In the first two years Cornelisse played with the team for places one to five, after turbulent internal problems, only for relegation. So it happened that he left the club in the 2004/05 season and joined FC Utrecht . There he quickly belonged to the club's regular squad and was able to win the Johan Cruyff Schaal with this in the run-up to his first season . After seven years in Utrecht, Cornelisse moved to FC Twente for the 2011/12 season , with whom he had already signed a two-year contract in March 2011. Here, however, he could not prevail. For the second half of 2012/13 he was awarded to the later relegated Willem II from Tilburg . At the end of the season he was initially without a club and kept fit with his former club Vitesse in Arnhem. But in August Tilburg signed him firmly. Here he played until the end of his career, which took place two years later.
