Tim Davies (* 1959 in Derbyshire , grew up in Wales ) is a British pop artist who currently lives in Hanover . He is known for colorful drawings that almost always include people and often involve dance or music. He created covers for CDs by musicians such as Al Di Meola , Robert Plant , The Jinxs and Pink Floyd .

Life

Davies graduated from the Camberwell School of Art , London, with a bachelor's degree in graphic art and a master's in art print in 1983 . From 1983 to 1985 he studied with Norman Ackroyd at Central St Martin's School of Art in London .

In 1991 he had his first solo exhibition in London. He also created murals for restaurants, bars and clubs and worked on commercials and cartoons. In 1995 he took part in the exhibition England's Dreaming in Tokyo with other artists.

Further solo exhibitions were in Zug in 1997 and further exhibitions in Switzerland until 2000. In 2001 and 2002 there were exhibitions in Hamburg, 2003 in Hanover ( üstra Look Tim Davies ). In 2007 he created a mural for the London Transport Museum .

For the Ritzenhoff company , he has been creating designs for everyday objects made of porcelain or glass since 2000. He designed CD covers for various musicians and music groups.

He took part in the 2009 fall of the Berlin Wall with a domino. In 2012 he presented two robot figures on an original piece of the Berlin Wall near Checkpoint Charlie .

AIDA Cruises has been showing its pictures in the on-board galleries since 2009 . In 2012, he drew a work on board the AIDA ship AIDAsol , which was then auctioned for charity.
