Tim Dinter

Tim Dinter (born March 17, 1971 in Hamburg ) is a German comic book artist and illustrator.

Life

After studying at the Ecole des Arts, Brussels, Dinter studied visual communication at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art and at the London College of Printing from 1994 to 2000 . While still a student, Dinter was one of the founding members of the Monogatari studio community . a. attracted the attention of the comic scene and the features section with the comic reports of her debut Everyday Espionage.

Together with Kai Pfeiffer , Dinter released the album Alte Frauen, which focused on conspiracy theories, in 2001 . In the following year, 81 episodes of the series Der Flaneur appeared on the Berlin pages of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , which initially described the daily comic strip as "cool observation using a realistic line". In 2005, as part of the Cargo anthology, Dinter produced a comic report for the Goethe Institute in Tel Aviv .

From 2006 to 2017, Dinter published in the Berliner Tagesspiegel, alternating with Arne Bellstorf (from July 2014 Olivia Vieweg ), Flix and Mawil . Dinter's strongly autobiographical series Lästermaul and Wohlstandskind stands out just like his u. a. Large-format works presented at the Illustrative art festival with a strong Berlin connection. The draftsman, who is ascribed a realistic, almost photographic style, says of himself that his subject is Berlin.

Dinter has lived in Berlin-Mitte since 1994. Dinter earns his living as an illustrator. On the other hand, he defines working on comics as a "professional hobby". {
