Defiant house is a locality in the mountainous city ​​of Wuppertal .

Location and description

The location is in the Erbschlö-Linde residential area of the Ronsdorf district at 253  m above sea level. NHN on the hillside of the Marscheider Bachtal east of Marscheid .

In addition to Marscheid, the local locations Marscheiderbach , Kleinsporkert , Jägerhaus , Wefelpütt and Linde are adjacent .

history

Defiant house appears as am Drotts hausgen on the map of the town of Ronsdorf by geometer JW Buschmann from 1790 and as a gift house on the community chart of the mayor's office in Ronsdorf from 1826. The place is on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and on the Prussian first recording from 1840 drawn unlabeled. From the Prussian new recording from 1892, it is on Ordnance Survey recorded regularly.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province from 1888, a house with 18 inhabitants is given.
