Tim Legler

Timothy Eugene "Legs" Legler (born December 26, 1966 in Washington, DC ) is an American former basketball player who played between 1990 and 1999 in the US professional league NBA .

Legler visited the Roman Catholic private University La Salle in Philadelphia ( Pennsylvania ). There he was "Academic All-American" and made history with 1699 points in four gaming seasons. Legler was one of 17 players in the college's history to score no less than 1,000 points in their career. In addition, Legler was one of three nominated for an “Academic All-American”. As a result, Legler led La Salle to the title of the 1987 National Invitation Tournament at Madison Square Garden . Legler played in the US professional league NBA from early 1990 to late 1999. In his NBA career, he played for the Washington Bullets , Washington Wizards , Phoenix Suns , Denver Nuggets , Utah Jazz , Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors . In 1996 Legler won the three-point competition of the 45th NBA All-Star Weekend. His career ended because of another knee injury.

Legler appears regularly in the programs of ESPN NBA-Shootaround, NBA-Fastbreak, NBA-Coast-to-Coast, as well as an expert advisor for SportsCenter and in various programs on ESPN radio. He has been working for this channel since 2002.
