Tim Rubink (born January 12, 1988 in Dormagen ) is a German football player .
Career
The central defender moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach's youth department in 2002 , where he was a regular for the U-19s. During the 2006/07 season Rubink was invited to a training session with the professionals for the first time.
Surprisingly, Rubink celebrated his Bundesliga premiere against FC Schalke 04 on November 8, 2006 at the age of 18 . He “profited” from numerous injuries-related failures. Mönchengladbach's then head coach Jupp Heynckes had to do without eight defensive players. The 2-0 defeat against Schalke, in which he played alongside Zé António in central defense, was Rubink's only Bundesliga appearance with the professionals.
In the 2009/10 season Rubink played for the second team at Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where he tore a cruciate ligament shortly before the end of the season . In the summer of 2010 Rubink moved to the third division club SV Sandhausen , where he could not get beyond the role of the supplementary player after a long period of rehab . For the 2011/12 season he moved to Lower Saxony's upper division Goslarer SC 08 , with whom he became champions in the first year and was promoted to the Regionalliga Nord . In April 2013 his move to the NRW club KFC Uerdingen 05 was announced. In January 2015 he joined the SC Düsseldorf-West , with whom he rose from the state league to the Oberliga Niederrhein . He then moved to the top division SC Kapellen-Erft in the summer . After two years he left the club and went to the district league A for TuS Hackenbroich.
