Timan Camener

Timan Camener (born before 1485 ; died around 1534 ) was a German educator , school principal and writer as well as a humanist .

Life

Timan Camener came from Westphalia and was a classmate of Erasmus von Rotterdam in the school class taught by Alexander Hegius .

After 1500 Camener headed in Munster which there from for about 30 years Rudolf von Langen donated Münstersche school . Around 1530 Johann Aelius the Younger succeeded Camener as rector of the grammar school.

His contemporaries remembered Camener primarily for his poems.
